Dana Delgardo FNP

Dana Delgardo (he/him) is a mixed-race trans man who served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Major in Flight Medicine Operations in 2018 due to the hateful Trump edicts against transgender people in the military. He is a member and was medical co-chair of SPART*A (Servicemembers, Partners, and Allies for Respect and Tolerance for All), still serving as wellness co-chair. He is a family nurse practitioner, has a Master’s in Nursing Science, an Advanced Practice Nurse Care certification, and a certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. For many years he was a medical practitioner at Callen-Lorde, the not-for-profit health center in NYC, providing high-quality, compassionate health care to LGBTQIA+ communities in all their diversity, regardless of ability to pay. Additionally, he led the medical delegation sent by Callen-Lorde to Puerto Rico following the devastation of Hurricane Maria in September 2017, when the federal government did little.
